Ah the stirring of Beverly's heart. Very compact piece but it got across perfectly the obstacles that stood in the way of Picard and Crusher getting together as well as understanding how difficult it all must have been for Picard and Crusher with the spectre of Jack in the background and in the face of young Wesley.

I do apologize for the lateness of this response.
I found the haunting of any potential romance between them by Jack one of the more compelling reasons to follow it, at least as a UST pairing.
