I'm not familiar with your version of events, here, but this is very well written and the character voices are spot on. I was a little surprised by how quickly the argument between Lauren and Spock escalated, but clearly there's a history there I'm unaware of.
Out of curiosity, where are you from? Not IRL, but online. You've posted quite the archive of stories lately and I'm wondering where you were before and how you found our happy little corner of the web. In any case, welcome!

Thanks for the welcome and the nice review--you're the first. Yes, Lauren and Spock have quite a history. That's why I strongly suggest that readers start my series from the beginning.
I found Ad Astra just by Googling. This site seemed very well put together and easy to use, once I got through some posting glitches. Glad I stuck with it and figured things out. I've never posted stories online before.
The first umpteen stories (aside from one or two) in my Star Trek: Beyond series were first printed in fanzines back in the 80's. They've undergone quite a rewriting since then. Soon I will be posting stories that were never available to the public before. They'll just keep coming and coming. Some 80 plus, but things will slow as I catch up to the ones that need work.
