Poor Spock. At least this explains his relationship to Saavik, and I must say I liked the explanation. The way this was setting up I thought for sure it was that child but, no, it wasn't. Still, Spock's feelings on the matter are very spot on. And McCoy is correct in that Kirk's eating choices will end up on his waistline, lol.
