Thought I'd check out one of your stories! It's kind of fun writing Christmas stuff. I've done that a time or two myself. I'm glad your Vulcan got kissed--it's a gift he'll never forget. Of course, we all know that Vulcans CAN'T forget...even it they'd like to.

Having spent a few years away from home with 'extended family' and friends for Christmas, I will say that the attitudes and behavior of the crew was spot on. People who are away from their families tend to come together, and they extend the generosity of the season to others--even those who don't share the same beliefs.
Having Mister Vuhl'tahn give Lieutenant Bass a meditation stone was a nice touch. It exemplifies the idea that even those who don't share our beliefs can still respect them, and us, enough to observe the custom. We seem to have lost a lot of that in our own society lately, so I am glad it is still evident here.
I love that Veronica wants to wear the dress, even if the only place she has to wear it is the Frosty Creme on K-7. I could see her feeling like she wears the uniform so much that she's becoming part of it.
The shooting star was a nice touch, and it read in character to me for a group of scientists and explorers to try to find out as much information as they could about what it was and where it came from, but also to speculate that it might really be the star to which the song refers.
Finally, I really like the idea that this is not a planned gift swap. These people are able, perhaps because they know one another so well, to determine an appropriate gift for each person, and to be sure no one is left out.
Overall, this is a wonderful Christmas Star Trek story, and one with which I think you should be very pleased. Thouroughly enjoyed reading it.

A lovely Christmas story.
All your characters seem to be as I expect them and yet all of them seem to have that extra special Christmas touch to their behaviour.
The little exchange of gifts between the various crew was well handled and each very touching in their own way. The carol singers and the mysterious shooting stars were icing on the Christmas cake.
Well done.

Oh! So sweet! Even surprised the Vulcan. Loved the ending.

I really enjoyed this story. Perhaps because I spent a few years away from home and family during the holidays, it makes sense to me that the crew members would find a way to celebrate the season with one another, and that celebration would mean a lot to them.
The star was a nice touch. All in all, an enjoyable holiday story.
Author's Response: Thanks. I obviously couldn't show 400 people giving gift across the ship, but I could give a sampling. I appreciate you comments.
