Quite a moving little vignette to close the book on the crew of the original Enterprise, and I do mean the one crewed by Kirk and company. :)
The best part was the closed circle of Kirk collecting items from the very antique store he sold his glasses to in the 20th Century. What are the odds that it would still be standing 300 years later? Perhaps, that's what he meant by, "And they will be again."
Seemed fitting that this would be the one time Spock called out McCoy on his insults, as well as one more time interpreting a common expression literally.
The rest of the group--Scotty, Uhura, and Chekov--had to show up in some form or another since they were still an integral part of the voyages even if they did often seem like peripheral characters.

The Enterprise more than a thing of metal.
A lovely last private scene between the heroes. each is given there final moment to shine as part of the Crew.

OMG, Mac! That was perfect! Just how I imagined it would end as the six of them hit retirement and scattered to the four winds. It hit all the right notes - sentimental, sad, uplifting, funny, and the Bones/Spock bickering made me grin so much it hurt. Thank you so much for this - I love it! :DD
Author's Response: You're most kind. I edited it and whatnot from the original prompt. Be nice to think that they all met up before going their seperate ways.
