Loved it Temp. More is done with characters here than I could ever hope to do. The depiction of love, friendship, all kinds of emotions. Well done, Temp.

I remember this piece in the free writes and it's even more awesome now--if that's possible.  It was nice to see Jessiy's feelings explored, for all I remember from the original free write was her initial hesitancy.  Good to see her feelings for Justine ran deep, over years, and that once Jessiy'd dealt with the initial jealousy, and conquered it, she still loved both her friends, and was able to be there for Justine when she needed her the most--not as a lover, or a replacement for Bridget, but simply someone who loved her, no strings attached.  It was a magical moment when Justine realized that, and also that her feelings for Jessiy had deepened into romantic love.  Wonderful to see that moment realized, on both women's parts.

This is a really sweet piece. I especially like the juxtaposition of the two kisses at the beginning and the end, and how they give a comparison of the different situations Justine finds herself in while bringing things full circle in a way.

I love it. You didn't need to villainize anyone to make 'em come together, and I love how it's absolutely nothing to mention in that century that they're both women, and I love how you tied all the little pieces together and made them work. Darling stuff, and yay for more JD/Jess, because I will forever ship it! (And Sonia can go &%^* himself. XD)

Well TemplarSora you took your IDIC theme short story and gave it some real love.

I think as other have already said written a love piece about love and what it takes to realise the difference between first Kiss infatuation and true love of the person who is there for you when you truly need it.

Also how sometimes it hard to see what you’ve had with somebody till much later, I’m glad Starfleet championship beech volleyball team found the true safe zone in the end. Whatever comes these two ladies way, they know at least they had someone special to share it with.

Oh, squee! How sweet.

This is the promise of IDIC fulfilled. For sexuality's sake, but also for species to species' sake.

What is most important to me, and Justine has the good sense to make it a part of her speech, is the time when Jessiy was there in order to comfort her after Bridget's end.

A lot of us love to write epic romantic moments (and I am as guilty of this as the next person), but the reality of love is that it is often expressed as the person who knows how you take your coffee, the one who fixes your car or does the wash because it's a nice thing to do for you. Because flowers and candy don't mean squat in comparison to a home-cooked meal or being picked up from the train station, when all is said and done.

When the chips were really, really down, Jessica put her life on hold for Justine, in order to help, and in order to be there. Because a bunch of messages were not going to cut it.

If that's not love, then I don't know what is.

Well done.

What a -- pardon the pun -- lovely piece. The dynamic between these two has always been filled with closeness but it was good to see Justine finally come to the point where she could see that closeness for what it was -- love. It took some time, it took a lot of effort, and the playback of the memories was well-done, if not laced with pain because you knew what was coming with Bridget.

The feelings of conflict, of acceptance, of an ease earned and then a direction lost all were nicely portrayed. So glad Jessica is willing to give this a chance. I think the two will be good together.
