Short, but curious and more than a bit troubling.  Did Jorge just blow his second chance?  Why isn't Q capable of saving himself, and what the heck happened to the rest of the Continuum?

More, and quickly!  ;)

Author's Response: More-yes. Quickly? Hmm...

Well, that wasn't very Prime Directivey!  ;)  I think Jorge just turned thousands of years of Andorian history and societal purpose right on its head.

Might have known Q was somehow involved with whatever extinguished humanity.  Perhaps there's a more substantive purpose to the giant 'Q' left behind, or maybe Jorge is right, and this is an eon's long joke that ends in a giant 'Psyche!' for the Andorian people.

If so, then Q is one sick little puppy indeed.  Why's he gotta go and pick on everyone's favorite species of War Smurfs?

Ha!  Jorge gets a good home cooked (or at least replicated) meal after 40 years.  Interesting conversation with the Andorians.  They seem to be implying many of the other major powers of the Alpha Quadrant have perhaps 'ascended' to a higher plane of existance, leaving the Andorians behind to mind the store.

Fascinating stuff, and I eagerly await more.

Author's Response: That's exactly what they are implying. Of course, there are those references to God that I'll be dealing with...I think you'll find that situation interesting...

Glad to see you continuing this fascinating tale!  How the heck did the Andorians get here, and what might their role be in whatever happened to Earth?

Oh, and if I'm not mistaken, someone's been watching a lot of Life After People on the History Channel! ;)

Author's Response: Hard to avoid-nothing else on from 6-7 these days... :)

Nice take on the time travel theme. Usually everything turns out ok very quickly but not here which is nice.

Andorians crashing on earth, interesting. Cant wait to see the rest.

This is a great story that raises a good many questions.  Obviously, this Robinson Caruso in Time is well and truly lost, and thought the exact circumstances of his plight are unclear, the mystery only adds to the story's impact.

A terrific stand-alone short story.

Author's Response: And it continues-as soon as I figure out the Andorians. :)
