And thus the conclusion to Spock's life - or at least in the Primeverse. Again, very neat to have these moments explored throughtout Spock's life and to see this moment from a Primeverse perspective afterwards is very interesting. And it is nice that the legacy Spock leaves behind (despite Nero's wrath and vendetta) is that of the needs of the many that seemed to so exemplify him and his principles. Very well done.

Oh, uninlightened Spock. He has to put himself - and his friends - through hell to find himself. He could be strangely naive at times.
Having said that, it' true he never wanted command, and with Kirk stuck on Earth, I don't think a future as the Enterprise's captain appealed to him at all. That, too, would have played a part in him choosing to leave.

I love how concise and to the point that second entry is. It's a life changing moment, but he's like, "So, yeah, I figured out my life."

I've been on a bit of a Spock vs McCoy kick lately, in the sense that I want to see how their relationship works beyond the bluster. I think they actually had some of the most enlightening/insightful character moments on the series when they weren't plain sniping and point-scoring.
Sometimes it's nice to see them disuss their differing POVs calmly and without namecalling.
You have a nice handle on both characters here.

He must feel so disjointed at this point, fresh from having his mind put back in his head! I kind of think of it like a room which has been emptied completely, which then has all the furniture and furnishings put back by someone who doesn't know what it looked like before. The room has all its contents, but you can't find anything because everything is out of order.
It's a very powerful scene in the movie because Kirk and the others have literally sacrificed everything on the tiny chance Spock could be saved. And no one, not even the Vulcans, I think, really knew if the transference would work.
I think you've captured the confusion of Spock's thoughts nicely.

Most of this is really good, although I doubt Spock would call his actions heroic. Simply necessary. Aside from that, though, you captured the feeling of being inside his head in a very surreal situation, and examining it in his very Vulcan way.

Remember, though, everything is a jumble to Spock in this scene. He's relying mostly on vague memories of events leading to his death, possibly because of already transplanting his katra into McCoy, as well as other people's versions of events. Kirk and the rest of his colleagues would consider this act heroic.

Again, I like how 'in character' it is for a written entry. It is also all the more especially affecting to 'hear' Spock speak these words because as official entries he would have mulled and picked over his words with the greatest of care and deliberation.
