Nice little bit of McCoy and Scotty you capture both of their voices with your usual skill and you do manage to show them both humour to balance their friendship.
I love the line of going to the store to get a little pine tree air freshener to cover the smell. Loudmouth Lenny it be a great seller for Starfleet merchandise arm ;-)

And I agree - unless I was injured, McCoy is the LAST person I'd want to be stuck on a downed shuttlecraft with. ;)

Fresh Air? None to be had in this ironically titled short story in which you once again pair up two of TOS's most idiosyncratic characters. McCoy probably more so than Scotty, and yet I'm still not sure who to feel sorry about more in this situation. I'm gonna go with Scotty, as I can see that the good doctor's nagging could wear on one's nerves after a while.
Nothing a good laugh can't fix. Nicely done.

Hee, hee. That's awesome. I can see the scene happening. I love it. All the pent up frustrations on Scotty's part come tumbling out after all the - well obviously not quite pent up frustrations - but all the culmination of frustration with McCoy brings things to a little head here. Thankfully, both men are not only able to complain but to share a joke too and it dispells the situation some. Assuming they get rescued or affect their rescue soon. (and didn't Scotty hit the nail on the head about McCoy not being able to do anything - more and more its adding up to him being an imposter.)
Author's Response: No doubt they got rescued. XD And it was a fun little piece to write. Scotty in a full-blown rant is a rare but delightful thing to write and McCoy's expert defuse was fun, too.

Ah, it's almost a TOS version of the ENT Shuttlepod One episode, but minus the angst!
The idea of being stuck in a not too well performing tin can is scary at best. Being stuck with someone with whom you are not exactly compatible in the personality department? That has got to stink on ice.
Much like that shuttle stinks.
