Another classic Pike and Scotty story.

Pike as always is the leader that he teaching Scotty two lesson at the same time.

Good line "...every one of those maneuvers belong to someone else. Study them, yes. But rely on your own judgment"
Makes me wonder in the original TOS verse if it really took Kirk arrive for Scotty to truly learn that lesson to heart.

The Prose is good as always. What can I say a nice little story. Well Done.

Author's Response: I don't think so. This is 2253; Scotty's only thirty-one here, and Pike doesn't let him off the hook. By the time you get to TOS, Scotty's been a department head and a bridge officer for awhile. Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it.
