Awww, that's sweet. I'm surprised I don't see more Hoshi Reed pairings to be honest. I like the fact that Hoshi used different languages when speaking to Reed, it was slipped in so naturally, that one just assumes that this is a constant trait of their relationship and that we see it often as part of their interactions. That was nicely conveyed.
Secondly, I liked how you took this small factoid about Malcolm and expanded on it to create this little bit to demonstrate his love for Hoshi. As he says, she's more important to him than his fear, and that seems a very Malcolm characterisitic it has to be said. It feels very much like his response would be and it fits with his world view of seeing things as threats, dangers and points of weakness to almost use that vernacular to express his love. Defeating or overcoming fear in order to save her as an expression of his love and devotion.
