Found something haunting or chilling about Chekov's actions. Not often I get that from writing.

Author's Response: So very honored by this comment. It's definitely what I was hoping to descend into from the humor. Thank you <3

fascinating POV for McCoy, nothing beats good ol' Spock/McCoy and this is right up there.

Author's Response: ::grins:: Thank you so much.

Your Bones voice was spot on. I can imagine work for both DeForest and Urban. So full of colour and attitude and as well as the spoken insults/barbs are the unsaid ones in Bones head as well as the ones a person on the receiving end has to infer for themselves.

Author's Response: This means a whole lot more to me than I can probably articulate, so... I'll just send you hugs down the internets. <3

LOL! Awesome. Just laugh out loud awesome. Sheer brilliance. May Spock and Bones live forever.

Author's Response: Heee, thanks! Feeling a bit better about my Bones voice now.

Uh oh. Whatever overlap is happening is affecting others besides Scotty. Loving the humoour lacing this especially the beginning with the food cubes. That's one way to be inspired to throw yourself out an airlock.

But trippy went dark and foreboding with Chekov's ... whatever. Almost as though we're dealing with 'Yeserday's Enterprise' type deal with the crew being like Guinan and becoming aware of what is/has happened in NuVerse. [???]

Dunno but damned enjoying and intrigued by the ride.

Author's Response: My favorite part is your intrigue. Thank you, thank you thank you. (Somehow I've always read that Sulu, nuSulu, as a badass with a goofy twist. Might be the influence of his actor. Or maybe just the "...fencing." line in the first film.)

Oh, Bones. I love Bones. I want him to narrate my life. Beautifully and amusingly written ... that tricorder has to be part of the bigger picture though. I love his thoughts on Kirk and his nickname for the thing in his pants. Very funny.

Author's Response: ...see, now I want my life narrated that way. Him or Morgan Freeman. Not sure which. ;) Thank you.

In order to quote every great line in this piece, I'd have to copy/paste the whole thing.  But this:

It's always this one, with the dent in the side. I've started calling it Jim: always under review, always comes back way too clean. And always in need of some damn percussive maintenance.

was freaking inspired.  Nice work.

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you! <3 I do love his voice, and I was worried I'd misfired a little. This means a lot.

Another flicker, another afterimage - loved the line about Christine bolting.

Author's Response: I have to admit putting her absence down to that burned my ass just a touch. I think Bones would comment on it if nothing else XD Thank you.

Sulu and Chekov, a classic pairing. I love how Sulu's just lighthearted here and doesn't take things all that seriously till Pavel pops out of his chair and runs down the hall. I'm at a complete loss as to what he's seeing though ... visions of the future? A TOS reference I'm not quite getting? I don't know. But I'm damned curious about it and more than willing to read more. Great interplay between the two and yes, the Russian came out very Pavel in this piece, heard him all the way.

Author's Response: I shall give you only a wink in answer ;) THANK you, so much, a thousand times. I'm honored by this comment (and relieved it sounded like Chekov!). Your curiosity probably means the most of all.

And another intriguing ficlet. I especially enjoyed the MASH reference, good to see that some pre-WW3 culture survived! :) As to the screaming Chekov hears... Hmmmm. I look forward to reading more.

Author's Response: ::grins!:: The world needs M*A*S*H, even after WW3 XD Thank you so much for commenting.

Wow, intriguing. You have such a great grasp of Scotty's voice, I can hear both Doonan and Pegg reading these words. Look forward to seeing what more there is to this!

Author's Response: Thank you! I was married to a Scot for several years, and for the majority of them I lived there, so I have a kind of stock understanding of some of the accents from total immersion. I'm honored you feel I've got his voice, thank you so much.

So, this cross in-betweenness isn't just confined to Scotty, eh?

Author's Response: It would seem not ;) Thanks for commenting. (It pleases me utterly.)

whoah. Trippy stuff is happening with Scotty. Love that the Primeverse/NuVerse has some sort of after effect, a ripple os some sorts, an overlap or moment of twinning. That Scotty should sense it and sense it in relation t'oder ship. No wonder he feels such a disconnect as there's more familarity with the Mirror Universe. Strange and weird and unsettling effect created and perfectly mirrors how Scotty must be feeling.

Author's Response: Thank you. I love your interpretation; it's delighted me to see through your eyes what's displayed in this little snippet. Thank you.

This is really cool.  The idea that the divergent realities have moments of overlap is so interesting to me, and I love Scotty's description of the AU Enterprise as brutal, cold and unloved (even though I actually sort of like the flying Apple store look, there's truth to what he says, and I am sure he would feel that way).

Author's Response: Well... not quite ;) He is in the Apple Store, so to speak; this is the nuScott that's speaking now. Which tickles me in light of your review, 'cause it means I've got you guessing! Thank you so much.

Well, this is an intriguing start. I'm not sure where this is going ... is Scotty seeing the primeverse? Some sort of flashback? I don't know. Whatever the case, I'm looking forward to more.

Author's Response: I'm pleased to keep you guessing. Thank you so much <3
