I'm reminded of my grandfather's favorite giggle: 'Get in, sit down, shut up and hold on!'

Nice last line especially.

Man oh man that's just passive-aggressive.

Oh, my. Liseth must be about to go ballistic. My half-Andorian would be throwing down right now. Do not take away her showers. I love the description of Jessik, big, bald, and blue. Boy, breaking that news to her had to be tough ... the Reach sure seems like a broken down place. Here's hoping they get some upgrades or at least some more water for their showers.

Well, he put her right to work.  No cushy posting, here.  Hope it's worth it for her ...

Man, you can almost feel Liseth counting off the days, the minutes, the seconds until this posting is done.  And there's nothing like hitting the ground running.  I have a feeling she and Durant will hit it off professionally, and when all is said and done she'll be grateful for her time here; will learn a lot more about herself than she was expecting to.

" Get some deodorant, you're assigned to the armpit."

That line had me roaring, although I was waiting for it given the title. ;-)  Hopefully we'll see Liseth make lemonade out of the lemons she's just been handed.

And another great killer line at the end. Having to repair the very tractor beam she couldn't use to get onboard. This is shaping up to be one hell of an armpit assignment and the Commander doesn't seem to be willing to give poor Liseth much time to adapt! Great stuff.

Great killer line at the end there. Like kes, I wonder why the Lt Commander thinks she is being punished? Guilty conscience? Good stuff, look forward to discovering the Reach!

A gallant thing, this Durant. I think I like him already! I love how you show the non-shiny side of the Federation, and the Starfleet, by the way. The note about the mismatched hull plating is such an evocative little image. And poor Liseth. Her despair is palpable.

HAHA, oh, poor Liseth. She's walked into a mess of things, that's for sure, and automatically gets thrown into a working situation as soon as she steps through the door. Durant seems like a blue-collar guy, someone who's not afraid to get his hands dirty but a gentlemen at heart. Really liked the atmosphere you have going here.

Nothing like being thrown in immediately, eh? And that neatly explains why she had to pilot the Stallion in herself. Good to see that her CO isn't above getting down and dirty. The place may be a pit, but at least he's not sitting back in the equivalent of an ivory tower.

Outstanding my friend, that last line was a kicker :)

Haha.  Last line is perfect.  Liseth needs to learn the art of the well-placed Look of Extreme Unhappiness while saying, with audible resentment, "Yes, sir."  That's about what you can get away with in Starfleet without getting a reputation as a problem child, unless you're like, the next Jim Kirk or something.

"Am I being punished sir?"

Is there something you should be punished for, Commander Constantine?  Guilty conscience?  Hmmm?

HA! Loved that last line! That was awesome!

Ah, the armpit.

I am reminded of a native of Cape Cod explaining (in full Bahstin accent), "Cape Cawd looks like an ahm. I come from Duxbury; it's the ahmpit."

Looking forward to more although unfortunately (my issue, not yours) I now hear Lisette's voice sounding suspiciously like a gal I used to work with who came from Medford, Mass. ;)

Well done!

Okay, the word play in this is awesome and I loves it. Lots. The armpit metaphor is brilliant. And funny, too. I look forward to seeing what else you have in store for this little universe!

Oh man, love this. An Andorian Lt. Commander? What's not for me to like? ;)

Really enjoyed the dialogue back and forth between these two and how Tanner doesn't give a rat's tail about what Liseth wants. She has her orders and she's given them to Liseth ... Liseth much now follow them. An entertaining interaction and a nice ending line at the end.

Looking foward to more.
