Eeegawds! Poor Nizeri. That is indeed head banging.
Date: 26 May 2013 01:25 Title: I Dreamt of You
A lovely render of a bittersweet dream becoming realised. A sadness comes from leaving such dreams.
Date: 26 May 2013 00:43 Title: How Long is Long Enough?
Well, what does she SAY? You're really going to leave us hanging like that?!
Author's Response: Yes. Yes I am. The answer will come out in the next story. :P

That is an awesome ending, and sweet too! And I really hope it ends up happy, too! I like the leadup, and I like the kiss, and I like seeing the representation of non-straight people lots. Thank you for that.

Ouch. Been there, done that. Hate having to remember how to do things that I haven't done in forever. You really capture the frustration here and do it well. I'd have been banging my head on the console or the wall or the floor ... pretty much whatever I could. Hate, hate, forgetting things.

Oh, technology. Apparently it's a pain in the ass in the future, as well. Poor Nizeri.
Date: 24 May 2013 16:53 Title: I Dreamt of You
That awful moment when you realize it's all a dream. Sometimes it happens while you're still in it. You conveyed that feeling well.

Loss through the eyes of an engineer? I'm not familiar with this character, but he loves this ship like a dear friend, that much is clear. I hope she can be saved.

ACK!
I feel her pain.
Date: 24 May 2013 07:59 Title: I Dreamt of You
Very evocative.

I want to hug him. I especially love the passing description of the ship; so clear and painful.

What a smile. There's a song I love in which the writer proclaims all the ways the person she loves puts up with her; 'I cooked you seven meals, six of them on which you choked.' Reminds me in lovely ways of that.

However short it was nonetheless sweet and packed some bite. I've had a few of these dreams. Always beyond grasp.
Date: 23 May 2013 15:45 Title: I Dreamt of You
I love dreams and I love writing them - their buildup and their aftermath, as well. Even the most incoherent ones have a degree of structure to them. I feel you nailed that.
Date: 23 May 2013 15:13 Title: I Dreamt of You
Oh, nicely done. 100 words, and a tight 100 words at that. The feelings here are in your face and stick you right in the moment. Poor Justine as (if that's who I think it was) she must be kinda confused and hurt. In any case, this was a good piece.

That is very sort of haunting. And excellent use of the drabble format.
Date: 23 May 2013 06:00 Title: Pink Leopards
LOL! Caught red-handed--or pink-handed as the case may be. Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that Yaaras knew whose underwear it was all along, and just wanted to see his friend squirm? Certainly that would play into the supressed humoristic side of Yaaras' personality. Personally, I think Vulcans enjoy watching us humans squirm in awkward situations of our own making.
Author's Response: I know, right?! lol
Date: 23 May 2013 05:49 Title: A Problem With Authority
This rachets up the tension we saw in 'Ghost Ship.' One can only hope Jess will make Sonia eat his words. ;-)
Author's Response: Actually, this scene takes place after Chapter 2 of Ghost Ship, where Jess has the senior staff meeting. Always wanted to see what would happen when Wirst sat Seymour down.

Wow, exceptionally poignant. I know an engineer or two who'd ask those same questions, I think. A great parallel, too, between the Majestic and Obruz. It really sort of drives home how awful some things can really be -- something beautiful, ripped up. But still there.

Cooking on a starship is always an adventure!
Date: 23 May 2013 03:01 Title: Scars
Oh, that's tough. Seeing a pretty ship, especially a Sovvie (which I just love the lines of, really sleek), so wrecked and battered ... it hurts. You did well describing how messed up the ship was and the character treated it as a person as much as a starship. His reflection on scars was appropriate and meaningful.
Date: 23 May 2013 02:34 Title: Scars
That, was something else. Like Enterprise's homecoming in Star Trek III but incredibly poignant.
Date: 23 May 2013 02:15 Title: Scars
From the warm and fuzzy in the previous chapter to the bleak, harrowing. Quite a spell-binding piece. The image so telling. The thoughts and words of Dossu so apt. Very well done.
Date: 23 May 2013 02:11 Title: Scars
I love the identification and the metaphor. So many times, Trek gives anthropomorphism to ships - this time, I believed it.
Date: 23 May 2013 01:58 Title: Burnt Offerings
Ha. And that's just lovely and heartwarming. I also find myself picturing the scene so well.
