Vice Admiral Hammersmith is a ****ing Dumb***. I mean that with the upmost disrespect, what the heck dude? Kirk and Anna put this thing together quickly but this was another example of the admiralty at Starfleet just getting dumber and dumber with age. I mean, seriously, the Klingons just so HAPPEN to want to talk peace at the same Starbase they’ve been trying to get into for years now? They just HAPPEN to want to do it there when any other location could have been just as viable and as easy?

Kirk was right to think this entire situation a mess and he took precautions, as Kirk would. You once again did well by him in this story, the way he was understanding and caring towards Anna. She’s his wife and he wants to protect her, so I have no doubt he was coming from a place of caring when he told her that she could back to her quarters and chill there.

But Anna once again proved how strong she was. She was really, really good here and I liked the toughness she displayed. She could have hid away and tried to let Kirk handle it but she stayed the course and she helped beat back the Klingons. I hope Hammersmith gets hammered by a bat or something, dude needs some sense knocked into him.
