Looking good in that suit, Jonathan. Good luck with Captain Erika.

Nice story! That meatball infestation caused some amusing difficulties, but his time traveling friend helped him through it. Seems a rather hard way to get immunized. Personally, I'll take the injection.

Author's Response:

Oh my gosh, this old story! Thank you for reading - in some ways, it's a start to Times of the HG Wells.

More, More, More of that story.

How interesting to see the poor protein re-sequencer let the Nokarid get thought into the meatball, but I’ve got to say it one good and unusual opening line. “ It all started with a bad meatball.”

Not another Starfleet Officer who isn’t prepare to go see the doctor Phlox when something strange happens to them. Do like the captain confused mind state scenes and struggling to work out who speaking or what the hairbrush is.

A 1970’s disco party and Phlox confusion about it all are amusing.

Nice idea that Daniels has to respected the Nokarid protective status and yet also keeps Archer on course to inspire future generations of Starfleet Captains.

You do manage give Archer some great one lines in response to Daniels here.
“Where R?”
I found your choice of scenes for the future Enterprise to restore Archer confidence, an interesting mix, I do wonder if these are Daniels personnel favourites rather than a control pick by the T.I.C.

Pegasus Galaxy, is that private nod to another franchise there?

Still good to see Jonathan get his movies on for Erika Hernandez, shame they gave her such a silly ending in the books, always though they could of done more with the NX-01 and NX-02 Captains personal relationship.

All in all a top story.

Author's Response:

Aw, thanks! This is an old story - I think it's from 2005. So, no nods to other series here - this is from long before Ad Astra existed!

There is a sequel, which is a lot more melancholy, called On the Radio.

I had wanted to do something a little comical, and to get the crew out of their comfort zones. Plus of course we get a few cameo appearances from other captains, canon and non.

This is also the first time I ever had Daniels talk about restoring time instead of changing it. Eventually that turned into the HG Wells stories.

Thank you for reading.

This is a whirlwind of a story! It seems almost breathless in its speed and scope, honestly, and I liked it. I take some issue with the replicator thing -- I'm pretty sure they weren't invented until the 24th century. But I like the look through all of the lives of the various Enterprises, and of course, anything that mentions Pike is good. Plus, the disco bit was definitely cute. And Daniels was more tolerable than usual.

Author's Response:

Ha, this is another oldie.

ENT had a protein resequencer; should've used that term! Thank you.

That was just awesome, jespah!  Totally loved it!

I like that it wasn't simply a straightforward case of food poisoning, but something more.  And the way you manage to weave disco into the story, as well as a millennium of canon surrounding ships named 'Enterprise.'  Definitely a fun read, and FTW.

I must say this in one of the things you excel at - weaving history from whatever era into your stories and meshing them seamlessly with canon and with  your own fanon. Very well done, m'dear. :-)

Author's Response:

Oh, I thank you so much!

I love history, including the history of the series, and to be able to put it all together is a trip. :)
