Reads very much like one of the Data-centric episodes in TNG when Data would be put into an unusual alien situation that would make him explore some aspect of humanity. Good stuff.
Author's Response:
Those were always a bit of my favorite. Thank you!

Very nice! I always love how Data is funny without meaning to be, like many intelligent and emotionally reserved people. You certainly have a vivid imagination. ;-)
Of course, the story acquires added poignancy from what we know happens afterwards to the colony. At least Data will remember Filmond for a long time... :-(
Author's Response:
That certainly is one thing that I always enjoy about, say, Data and Spock: that they don't even mean to be funny. Thank you!
That is true. But Filmond would live on in Data's memory of his journals. :)

A wonderful, whimsical little piece that had me grinning throughout. Bravo!
Author's Response:
I'm glad! Thank you!

I enjoyed Data's obvious innocence and bewilderment about basic things such as the wearing of clothing. I think you captured him well.
Author's Response:
Thank you very much! In my opinion, his view of the world is an extremely interesting to take try and capture.

Lovely little story about Data, you capture his 'childhood' very well.
Author's Response:
Thankya! Data is my second favorite character, and it's always great to hear I've done him at least a little justice.

What a sweet story. I love seeing how Data is as a 'child', and through the eyes of a child. Nicely done!
Author's Response:
I thought, 'what better way to see Data than through someone just as innocent?'. I'm glad you liked it!
