Fantastic writing for Quark and Weyoun, two very distinctive characters but then Quark's always a joy. How painful for a Ferengi to lose profit even during wartime. Great story Aurora.
Author's Response: Thanks! They both have very distinctive voices and they're this weird dichotomy of similar and different, which I had never really thought about until I started writing this. I've barely written Quark and I've certainly never written from his point of view, so I had a lot of fun doing so. Definitely one of DS9's greatest characters.

Nice job, forcing a Ferengi to choose between profits and doing what's right. I'm glad to see that even though his gut told him it was wrong financially, he chose the latter. ;-)
Author's Response: Thanks! I always loved Quark's constant struggle to be a good Ferengi (and he was certainly better at it than Rom) and the fact that, in the end, he was never QUITE ruthless enough. I even like to think that someday, Quark might really enjoy a mug of root beer.

Author's Response: Thanks! Quark is definitely uninterested in sacrifice, as any self-respecting Ferengi would be! Yeah, I wanted to do a more comedic piece as a twist on the challenge, so I'm really glad that worked.

Great story about Quark, you do season six Quark and the Dominion occupation of DS9 really well! Plus Weyoun was spot on! His actions and dialogue were exactly like the same as on TV! Nice one!
Author's Response: Thanks! I've very limited experience writing Quark so this was fun. And the Dominion occupation arc is maybe my favorite part of DS9...the clash of both politics and personalities between the Dominion, the Cardassians, and the Bajorans is so fantastic, and I love writing about it. With Weyoun I think my love for him has now allowed me to entirely internalise his mannerisms!

"Generous" Quark is not something one sees everyday. But even Quark knows it's easier to live under Federation administration of the station. I'm sure the Dominion charges him for rent, etc, while Sisko didn't seem to care about that, unless he needed to blackmail Quark. Profits without expenses--which Ferengi wouldn't choose that option? ;)
Author's Response: Ha, of course Quark wouldn't think of himself as being generous...he just knows a bad business deal when he sees one, and ultimately the Federation's a better deal than the Dominion! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

That was awesome...if there was one thing I enjoyed about DS9, it was seeing Odo and Quark go at it. Definitely a neat look at the Ferengi; I could definitely read this in the right voices and it made complete sense, like this should have just been ripped from an episode. Awesome job.
