Ah - it appears I fat-fingered the navigation and skipped a lot of chapters. Now things make a bit more sense.

So these aren't entirely wild vulcans, but very recent refugees. So we can expect them to be largely vulcan with some regional variants. It will be interesting to see what the environment has done to them.

Small, stranded populations too small for successful reproduction can become quite twisted.

Thanks!! rbs

Author's Response: It's a common trope, I know. Although there is a bit of a twist with these stranded colonists.

Intriguing! Xylion's date oh and the little hippy farm Vulcan settlement thing too. Actually, really liked the details about the settlement. They were scant but enough to imbue a feel for the place and to get us hooked into how life must have panned out for these colonists over the last 21 years. All assuming of course that this is true and not some mirage, trick or all in the mind of one of the shuttle crew (which would be such a cruel thing to do to your readers). It is mightily interesting and I really don't know where you are headed with this.

Author's Response: Could it all be in Xylion's head? Maybe he got knocked out when the shuttle crashed and this is his fantasy dream. Hmm, there's an idea for story right there.

Oh yeah, Xylion is about to get some. This Tela girl probably is quite taken with him and one can't blame her. But as to how the ship ended up there, well ... it seems all too easy, doesn't it? I'm suspicious of it all. Especially with the lack of surprise at seeing Starfleet officers there. You'd think they'd be more than just a little curious but it seems as it everyone else has accepted the way of life there.

Something's up.

Author's Response: Well they are Vulcan. These are the people that have perfected the art of understated reactions. But in this story you can't be wrong to be suspicious of everything.
