A Mexican stand-off. Another unexpected twist. And another quick and enjoyable read. 

Battle scenes can get monotonous very quickly. You have a good way of keeping the action intersting with new wrinkles.

Author's Response: Very glad you enjoy the quick pace of the action scenes. I find those fun to write, although they can get challenging. The written medium, I find, lends itself better to dialogue and thought than action.
