Ah, and it appears as if the issues with Enya might be beginning to hit a resolution. Again, a gentle admonishment, and again a promise to do better. Hopefully, it will take this time as Beth really does not need this on top of everything else that's going on.

I'm glad to see that Enya understood her mistake without long speeches and preaching. That shows she can improve and her regret is a sign she wants to do everything not to repeat it.

And the joke about the lasagna? I laughed, too :D

Author's Response: You will see more of the Riker father/daughter relationship being exposed as Beth and her crew get more comfortable with him being on the Enterprise. While Beth was always inspired by Picard to succeed - her command style is identical to that of her father's.

Hi!
Sorry it has been so long since I continued this story, but I plan to try and catch up over the next few days.
This was a really nice little chapter, showing Deanna at her best, working hard to help her fellow counsellor, while giving us further glimpses into Beth and her father's relationship.
I'm also intrigued as to these mysterious attacks and look forward to finding out more.
Good work!

Author's Response: Thanks CS! There's a lot of tale, so take your time!

Well Deanna was masterful as always. I liked how you linked up with Riker wanting to cook - even if it reminds me of a certain epsiode. loved the Home Rules thing. I imagine Beth probably looved to read any sort of command files left lying around. And the build up to the mysterious enemy and their movements is quietly working away in the background of the story so far. Very good and effective.
