Oh, poor Kalara. She got laid into by Sarine, who didn't waste a moment. He threw her under the bus pretty fast and though I can't blame him, with something that personal and serious, I feel like his emotions got the better of him then. Prin saved his hide-again-and seems to feel that something's up. I'm hoping she'll be able to figure out that it's all a fake, all a lie, but with everything going on ... she may not have the time.

Kalara is now in the brig and I wonder how Damian is going to react. I'm wondering if he'll come to her defense or try and investigate this on his own. Part of me wants him to, to prove his wife is innocent, but considering that Astrid is involved in this and she's dangerous, I don't think I'll wish that on Damian.

This is kicking off the duplicitous acts - maybe it will kick off or kick up whatever the motivations are behind these different chess moves. All I do know, is that this is heading into trouble. And it very well may be the huge mistake Prin thinks it to be.

Holy crap!  Kalara almost ended the brief yet notable Starfleet career of Ba’el Sarine. Good thing his trust XO was on her toes!

You’ve recaptured the momentum of this terrific series, and the various machinations and personality conflicts are all rendered in brilliant 3-dimensional clarity.

As various plots and plans entangle, your characters become increasingly fascinating as well as desperate. Well done.
