Of course there's a patch. Once you attach it to your epaulet, it folds spacetime around itself and becomes effectively cloaked...

I love the spacetime paradox angle - future antagonists wil be reviewing current fleet movements... I also like the character of the Shpere Busters - fairly open for temporal agents.
