Author's Response: Oh man, I didn't think of Star Wars. That's a great pun. I think the fact that Dark Star didn't verify the kill speaks to how little she cares about Dark Michael, particularly compared to how much he has focused his energies on destroying her.

And rule #1 from the Walking Dead - never leave a mortal enemy alive and never assume they are dead even when you see the body...
Interesting interplay between Star prime and Dark Star - some sense of empathy among them.
