So the aftermath of what happened to the Pearl continues, but what about Hank? The various perspectives from the main characters on the Pearl is great and all, but for me Hank is where the real interest is.

Also you have a knack for bringing in exposition after some dialogue, and then -- this is the hard part -- effortlessly returning to the present without the reader feeling a jump in continuity. It flows and I like that, it takes some talent and intuition to merge together dialogue and exposition.
