Quite interesting scenario. Especially the tangle of rights involved. The passengers not wanting to give permission might have been programmed to deny permission, which would suggest lingering suggestive effects post-hack. 

Which raises a ton of ethical issues that really need to be thoroughly explored before we just start jacking our brains into our computers. Technology always outstrips ethics. Probably the most interesting point of sci-fi.

Nice callback to those addictive jumja sticks.
