Very interesting combination of scenarios - an independent human confederation with key resources and a borg origin story within humanity. Both quite plausible.

Author's Response: Thanks. There's a but of a political thriller subplot in this story. Not nearly to the extend as in ST: Horizon but probably more prominent to most of my Star Eagle work.
