Life long Trek fan since I was a small child started with TOS. I got started writing Star Trek almost 10 years ago doing pbem (play by email) rpgs. After getting burnt out with that, I took a break. I realized that while I did not care for the politics that came with rpg's, I did miss writing. It's taking me some time to find what I want to write about, but something's coming.

2265 - The U.S.S. Constitution prepares to depart for it's final five year mission under a new commander, Captain Alexander Marshall. Marshall, the son of one of the ship's former captains, struggles with finding his own indentity in a place with so much history.
On the frontier, the Tandarans have captured a Federation envoy while attempting to extend their borders into Federation space. It is up to the crew of the Constitution to rescue the envoy. Surrounded by old friends, and new crewman, Marshall must decide the best course of action to get the envoy back.

In the wake of the Romulan attack on several Earth Outpostsalong the neutral zone, Starfleet Command sends the U.S.S. Constitution a remote planet near the Romulan border. After their arrival, they discover a large source of dilithium, and the Romulans become very interested in the dilithium as well.
In the days leading up to the Dominion War, the U.S.S. Tian An Men goes missing while on patrol of the Cardassian border. The U.S.S. Magellan, a Galaxy-class starship, is sent to negoiate with the Cardasssians after some maneuvering to get the assignment by it's new captain. Along the way a bold plan is formed to rescue the Tian An Men and it's crew.

I now consider this an aborted attempt to tell a story set during the Dominion War. I prefer thinking of it as an excercise, and some scenes from this story will turn up in a more complete work.
