Story Notes:
This was the second fic I ever wrote and I was a teenager at the time. Consequently, it is laced with teenage drama and poorly constructed prose. It was originally titled 'The Death of a Friend' and appeared in a print fanzine of the South Australian Star Trek club (SASTREK) way back then. It was written for a friend who was a McCoy fan.
